A special thank you to Dr. and Mrs. McAfee for hosting the “Take a Kid Fishing Day” event with the Boys & Girls Club of Porter County – South Haven Unit! This was the first Day of Caring event for 2012!
The day began with Mike Blythe giving a fishing tutorial to the group (including some first timers!) Dr. Larry raised the stakes by offering a dollar competition to the kids who caught the biggest and most fish. A thank you to our fishing volunteers, Dr. Larry, Jim Lewis, Jim Kish, and Shawn Dickt, and to our kitchen crew, Patty McAfee, Cathleen Nalli, Cathie Dull, Sharon Kish and Mackenna Dickt. After fishing, the kids enjoyed a pool party, cook-out, and received their commemorative t-shirts courtesy of Mike Blythe!
Some great memories and times had by all!
