The United Way Regional Volunteer Center’s program, I Need a Hug, needs YOUR help to reach our goal for this year. The program provides elementary schools throughout NWI with new, stuffed animals that are used as counseling tools and support the Reading Buddies literacy program in the schools.
How can you help?
Hold a drive at work or church. The toys offered are small enough for the child to carry anywhere and bigger than a softball. Per federal guidelines they need to be new and have the tag on them.
Monetary donations are accepted by calling the United Way at (219) 464-3583.
